Does the humble financial situation of a girl's family affect the Islamic ruling on accepting her marriage proposal?

The most important considerations when choosing a spouse, whether husband or wife, are religious commitment (deen) and character (khuluq). This is based on the Prophet's (peace be upon him) saying: "Marry the religious woman, and may your hands be dusty (i.e., you will prosper)." And his saying: "If someone whose character and religious commitment you are pleased with comes to you (seeking marriage), then marry him off." There is no objection to considering other matters for compatibility, such as social or financial proximity. However, if acceptance occurs between the prospective spouses, their marriage should not be prevented due to differences in these matters, as long as the man is suitable (kafu') for the woman, and suitability is only considered for the man. Therefore, if the suitor is wealthy and the woman and her family are not, this does not compromise suitability or prevent their marriage.
