Where every answer comes from

Every answer on elfatwa comes from Ftawy. There is one source, not a mix of them, and each page names it before you read a word.

Ftawy is the source

Ftawy publishes the fatwas. elfatwa organizes them, summarizes them, and points you back.

195,634 answers are published here, all of them sourced from ftawy.com. If an answer is not on Ftawy, it is not on elfatwa.

That single-source rule is what makes the site checkable. You never have to wonder which authority a page is quoting, or whether we blended two answers into one.

Citations appear as the source gave them

A citation on elfatwa is a copy, not a rewrite.

• The Qur'an is cited by chapter and verse, in the form the source used — for example, Qur'an 2:185.
• A hadith is cited by collection and number, as the source wrote it.
• If the source cites nothing, the page cites nothing.

We do not go looking for a better reference. Strengthening a source's evidence would change what the source said, which is the one thing we will not do.

Gradings are reported as given

A grading is the source's judgement about how sound a report is — words like sahih (sound) or hasan (good).

We report the grading the source gave. We never add one, upgrade one, or downgrade one.

If the source states no grading, the page states none. An empty space here is honest. A filled one would be ours, not the source's.

Where scholars differ

Some questions have more than one answer among scholars. Where the source says so, the page says so: which position is held, by whom, and which one the full answer follows.

We do not flatten a difference into a verdict, and we do not pick a side the source did not pick.

The link on every answer

Every published answer carries one control: Read the full answer on Ftawy.

It points to an address on our own site, /go/ftawy/…, which forwards you to that exact page on ftawy.com. Ftawy is the only destination this link is allowed to reach. Any other address is refused, so the link cannot be pointed somewhere else.

Why every answer carries it:

• A summary is not the answer. The full text has the detail, the wording and the conditions.
• You can check us. One tap puts our summary and the original side by side.
• It is the only way off the site. Nothing else on elfatwa links outward.

If the source address for an answer is missing, the button is not shown. A dead handoff is worse than none. We hide it and flag the page for review, rather than guess a replacement address.

Using the link tells us that a question sends readers to the source. It does not tell us who you are. We do not store your IP address, we identify no one, and we honour Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control signals.
