Corrections
If we get a page wrong, we fix it and say so here. This log is public, and nothing leaves it once it has been added.
What we promise
Every correction is recorded with three things:
- The date it was made.
- The page it was made on.
- What changed, in plain words.
We do not edit a page quietly. A summary that changes meaning gets a row here, even when the mistake was small and nobody noticed it but us.
The log
This log starts empty. Each correction is added on the day it is made, newest first.

What counts as a correction
These are our mistakes, and we own them:
- A summary that misreads the answer it came from.
- A translation that changes what the answer decides.
- A condition the source stated that our page left out.
- A citation or grading that does not match the source.
- A wrong, missing or dead link to the full answer.
- A title or category that sends readers to the wrong question.
What is not a correction
Disagreeing with the ruling itself. We did not issue it, and we cannot change it. That is a matter for the source, and the full answer on Ftawy is where it sits.
If Ftawy changes its own answer, the change belongs to Ftawy. When we notice, we bring our page into line with the source and log that too.
How to report a mistake
There is no report button on pages yet. Until there is, write to us at a contact address we have not published yet.
Three things make a report easy to act on:
- The address of the page.
- What you think is wrong with it.
- What the full answer on Ftawy says instead, if you have read it.
You do not need to be a specialist to report a mistake. Most useful reports are from readers who opened the full answer and found that our summary did not match it.
What happens next
We read the page against the full answer on Ftawy.
If we misread the source, we fix the page and add a row above. If the source does say what our page says, we leave the page alone and tell you why. Either way, we will not change a ruling to settle a disagreement.
We do not promise a reply within a fixed time. We do promise that a correction, once made, stays on this page.
