Anger and Patience
- How can I deal with my father's unjustified rejection of my engagement to a young man I love and who is religious and of good character, especially since I have sought God's guidance through Istikhara?
- Does the ruling of "whoever abandons his brother" apply to one who apologized to her friends for a mistake, but they did not accept the apology, and does this prevent her from receiving forgiveness?
- Is the non-occurrence of the awaited matter a consequence of masturbating after swearing with the words, "By God, O Lord, if I do it again, then do not fulfill for me anything I was awaiting its occurrence"? Is expiation due for this oath? And what is the way to achieve what is desired?
- What is the meaning of the Prophet's saying, peace and blessings be upon him: "If he is given, he is thankful; if he is tried, he is patient; and if he is angry, he forgives," in the explanation of the hadith?
- Are those who exchange acquittals considered sinful?
- To what extent are the following hadiths authentic: "There are three who call upon Allah, but their prayers are not answered: a man who had a ill-mannered wife but did not divorce her..." and "Whoever bears patiently the ill manners of his wife, Allah will grant him a reward like that which He granted His Prophet Ayyub (Job), peace be upon him"? And how can these two be reconciled in the case of a husband who bears patiently with his ill-mannered wife?

- What is the difference between al-'afw (forgiveness/pardoning), as-safḥ (overlooking/turning away from blame), al-maghfirah (covering/erasing sins), and ar-raḥmah (mercy), given that they are conjoined by "and" in the Qur'an?

- How can one deal with despair over the continuous deterioration of one's psychological and physical condition, despite abundant supplication, seeking forgiveness, and charity, and the fear that this might be an affliction due to sins?
- How can an adolescent girl deal with her mother's anger and threats after her secret was revealed, and what is the way for her to reconcile with her mother and gain her approval, especially after she has contemplated suicide?
- Is forgiveness considered valid if it comes after a period of initial abuse and anger, knowing that the anger was internal? And is the ability to exact retribution a prerequisite for forgiveness, or is forgiveness valid even without the ability to do so?

And how does a servant attain Allah’s forgiveness if he does not fear Him as He should be feared? And is it permissible for a servant to wish for affliction to befall him, seeking the reward of patience?
- What are the deeds described as "matters of high resolve" (ʿazāʾim al-umūr) in the Qur’an and Sunnah, such as patience and forgiveness, mentioned in His, the Almighty’s, saying: {But whoever is patient and forgives—indeed, that is of the matters of high resolve} and in Surahs Al Imran and Luqman?
- Is the daughter sinful for what transpires between her and her mother, who sows discord among her children, curses her, and makes the household hate her? And is she held accountable for what she says in moments of anger? And is the mother sinful for her shortcomings towards her children if the fault lies with her? And is the daughter considered disobedient if the mother says she is displeased with her forever?
