What are the categories of the attributes of Allah, Glory and Exaltation to Him, and how are both the "narrative attributes" and the "rational attributes" dealt with?

The attributes of Allah Almighty are divided into categories based on different considerations:

1. Based on Affirmation and Negation: Affirmative Attributes: Those that Allah affirmed for Himself or His Messenger, and they are attributes of praise and perfection that must be affirmed, such as: Life, Knowledge, and Face. Negative Attributes: Those that Allah negated from Himself or His Messenger, and they are attributes of imperfection that must be negated, along with affirming the perfection of their opposites, such as: death, sleep, and injustice.

2. Based on the Evidence of Their Affirmation: Narrative Attributes (Aural/Transmitted): These are affirmed only through hearing and transmission, and they can be essential (like the Face) or active (like joy). Aural-Rational Attributes: Both aural and rational evidence share in affirming these, and they can be essential (like Life) or active (like Creation).

3. Based on Their Relation to Allah's Essence and Actions: Essential Attributes: Allah has always been and continues to be characterized by them, and they are inseparable from Him, such as: Knowledge, Power, and the Face (these are called inherent attributes). Active Attributes: These relate to Allah's will and are renewed according to His will, such as: Istiwa (ascending), Nuzul (descending), and Anger (these are called voluntary attributes). Essential-Active Attributes by two considerations: Their origin is essential (like Speech), and their individual instances are active (according to His will).

4. Based on Majesty and Beauty: Attributes of Beauty: These inspire love for the Creator and a desire for what He possesses, such as: Mercy, Forgiveness, and Compassion. Attributes of Majesty: These inspire fear of Allah and glorification of Him, such as: Strength, Power, and Dominance.
