Am I permitted to threaten my husband with divorce, or to ask him for a divorce, knowing that he is extremely temperamental, and his temper worsens after quitting hashish, and he gets angry over the most trivial matters, and uses disrespectful language, and mistreats our child? Will I be sinful if I ask him for a divorce?

The husband is advised to consult specialized doctors if quitting hashish is the cause of his anger, and he should not be threatened with divorce. The wife should gently express her fear of the family being dispersed.
