What is to be done, and what is the religious stance, regarding a young man in his thirties who suffers from homosexuality, has attempted to cure it through various methods, including cohabiting with women and performing Ruqyah (exorcism according to Islamic law), but has failed, while doctors inform him that this is part of his natural, innate disposition?

The corruption of sodomy is immense, and its punishment is severe. It is a deviation from sound human nature. Whoever is afflicted by it must sincerely repent, occupy their time with acts of obedience and remembrance of Allah, associate with righteous people, and block off paths leading to indecency, such as lowering the gaze, marrying, supplicating, and remembering death and accountability. It must also be noted that psychiatrists may err in interpreting these inclinations, and that a man's inclination towards a female is natural; deviation from this is due to a sin or corrupt environmental influences.
