What is your advice for a sixteen-year-old teenager who wishes to repent to Allah after committing sins, including sodomy?

Homosexuality is one of the major sins and abominations. Whoever falls into it must repent sincerely, for whoever repents truthfully, Allah will accept his repentance. One should fear Allah and dread His wrath, lower the gaze, associate with the righteous, distance oneself from the wicked, hasten to marry a righteous woman, learn the individual religious obligations (fard al-ayn), and spend time in what benefits one in this life and the Hereafter.
