What is the ruling on a woman selling perfumes and incense in places frequented by men and women, while deliberately using incense to attract customers, and with the possibility of the fragrance touching her body?

It is permissible for a woman to work in buying and selling if she adheres to the etiquette of Islam in her dress, speech, and interactions, covering her entire body with clothes that do not reveal her limbs, and avoiding suspicious mixing with men. However, it is not permissible for her to work if it exposes her to displaying her forbidden adornments, or to traveling without a mahram, or to mixing with non-mahram men in a way that risks temptation.

Regarding her work in a perfume and incense shop, there is no harm in her selling them, provided she is careful not to be affected by their scent, due to the warning against a woman perfuming herself in front of non-mahram men. It is not permissible for her to burn incense in her shop to attract customers, as its scent will undoubtedly affect her, and a perfumed woman was prohibited from attending the last Isha prayer. The safest course for this woman, if she is in need of work, is to limit her sales to women only to avoid mixing with men.
