What is the ruling on someone who performed Umrah twice without exiting the state of ihram for either of them, and how does he exit it now? And should he exit ihram twice, or is one exit sufficient for both?
A person's assuming of ihram for a second 'Umrah before completing the first is void. He must complete the first 'Umrah by shaving or shortening his hair. There is no fidyah (expiation) due for any mahzurat al-ihram (prohibitions of ihram) committed before exiting ihram if he was ignorant, except for acts of destruction, such as shaving the head. For this, there is a fidyah: feeding six poor persons, or fasting for three days, or sacrificing a sheep.
