The answer

Filial piety is a means of entering Paradise, and the mother's right is more emphasized. Therefore, the daughter must be patient with her mother, even if she mistreats her, and treat her kindly, and not abandon or sever ties with her. She should seek reward from Allah and supplicate for her mother's righteousness, guidance, and forgiveness. To improve the relationship, the daughter should initiate change and show more love and appreciation for her mother, avoid mentioning her husband's good qualities in front of her except in ways that show his appreciation for the mother, offer her gifts, and humbly pray to Allah to mend their relationship. If the daughter fulfills her duty, she need not fear her mother's disobedience or curses, because a mother's anger after dutifulness is an injustice. It is also advised to treat the husband well and control one's anger.
