How can a mother deal with her own stress and the disobedience of her young daughters (four and two years old) so that they become obedient and more patient?

Raising children requires divine guidance from Allah. Parents are obligated to implement the means of upbringing while not relying solely on them, for righteousness comes from Allah alone. The magnificent implication is not to rely on oneself in upbringing, but rather to trust in Allah, Lord of the Worlds. Among the most important means is confronting stubbornness with wisdom and deliberation, not with stubbornness. Deception should be met with overlooking and tolerance, and a child's feeling of oppression should be addressed with empathy, and their rebellious behavior with love and a sincere desire for their well-being, coupled with firm yet not harsh disciplinary actions.

To achieve containment of children, verbal and physical abuse must be avoided, and verbal and physical containment must be practiced. Verbal abuse includes describing the child with negative labels; the correct approach is to limit negative descriptions to their actions, while describing their person with virtues. As for physical abuse, it includes severe beating that goes beyond discipline, while permissible, disciplinary beating has restrictions that prevent harm. The acceptable alternative is punishment through restricted educational deprivation, such as depriving them of play for a specific time or a slight deduction from their allowance, and managing the child with a star chart (positive behavior increases stars and negative behavior reduces them).

Verbal containment includes words of love, appreciation, praise, support, and encouragement. Physical containment is manifested in daily unconditional hugs, positive physical contact, and moral and sensory participation in their activities, just as the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, used to do with children.
