How can I deal with my parents who abuse me psychologically and ask me to do forbidden things, while preserving my religion and being dutiful to them?

Obeying parents in disobedience to Allah is not permissible, even if they harm their children and treat them unjustly without right. Nonetheless, it is obligatory to honor them, treat them kindly, be patient with them, address them with respect and gentleness, and appreciate their favor. For honoring parents is one of the greatest means of attaining Allah's pleasure and entering Paradise. Responding to their ill-treatment with kindness brings affection and protects against the evil of Satan.
