What is the ruling on someone who performs 'Umrah in Dhul-Hijjah, then assumes ihram for a second 'Umrah after Hajj to avoid slaughtering a sacrificial animal (hady)?

There is no harm in entering into a state of ihram for Umrah after exiting the state of ihram for Hajj, whether for one performing Hajj al-Ifrad, Hajj al-Tamattu', or Hajj al-Qiran. This is provided that one exits to the nearest point in the non-sacred area (al-hill), such as Tan'im or Ji'ranah, to enter into ihram from there. It is not permissible to enter into ihram from within Makkah for those who are not residents of Makkah, due to the Prophet's instruction to Abd al-Rahman ibn Abi Bakr to take his sister A'ishah to Tan'im to enter into ihram for Umrah.
