Is it permissible to wipe over a khuff (leather sock) or a na'l (sandal) that does not cover below the ankle?

Wiping over the khuffayn (leather socks) and jawrabayn (regular socks) is established by the Sunnah and the practice of the Salaf (pious predecessors) and Khalaf (later generations). This is supported by the hadith of Jarir ibn Abdullah al-Bajali and al-Mughirah ibn Shu'bah. The duration for wiping is one day and one night for a resident, and three days for a traveler, as long as janabah (major ritual impurity) does not occur or they are not removed, based on the hadith of Safwan ibn Assal.

Conditions for wiping: 1. Wearing them after achieving complete ritual purity (tahara). 2. That they cover the obligatory area (the feet including the ankles). 3. The possibility of walking continuously in them and their stability. 4. That they are permissible (not usurped, and not silk for men). 5. That they are pure (tahir). 6. That they are thick, so the skin is not visible from beneath them.

It is permissible to wipe over boots (jazmah) if they cover the obligatory area and are stable enough to walk in, otherwise not.
