What is the purpose of life, and why should one enroll in university and study; or is it better to devote oneself to studying the sciences of religion and worship?

Allah created mankind and jinn for His worship, and acts of worship vary. Studying medicine, engineering, and similar fields that benefit Muslims, with a pure intention such as preserving oneself from the forbidden and benefiting the Ummah, and marriage and building a Muslim household, and striving to earn a halal livelihood to preserve oneself and one's family – all of these are acts of obedience for which a Muslim is rewarded.

Therefore, one must approach studies with diligence and energy, and discover one's inclinations and desires to achieve goals in study and work, as this falls under honoring one's parents and showing them kindness.

It is possible to combine the study of Islamic sciences with beneficial worldly sciences.
