What is your advice regarding a university major: Should I pursue the Sharia sciences that I desire to become a scholar and a mufti, or should I specialize in engineering or administration, fearing a low financial return from the Sharia sciences, knowing that our financial situation is good and my brothers are engineers and graduates of industrial administration?

"Seeking religious knowledge is one of the greatest endeavors in which time and money can be spent. Allah Almighty has praised knowledge and its people in the Holy Quran, and has promised good to those who seek it. Islam also encourages the pursuit of worldly sciences that the Ummah needs. The student of knowledge must purify his intention for Allah Almighty, and his goal should be to attain reward and recompense from Him. The certificate should be a means for knowledge, teaching, and inviting to Allah. Whoever fears Allah, He will suffice him in his concerns and provide for him from where he does not expect. For happiness and tranquility lie in obedience to Allah, and the one who teaches people good has a great status. Parents can be convinced of studying Sharia (definition) if the student's desire is to succeed and excel in it."
