Is it permissible for me to recite the Quran while menstruating, especially since stopping the recitation causes me severe distress?

All praise is due to Allah, and may peace and blessings be upon the Messenger of Allah, and upon his family and companions.

It is permissible for a menstruating woman to recite the Qur’an without touching the Mushaf. If listening or reciting what she has memorized is not sufficient, and refraining from recitation causes her unbearable harm, then it is permissible for her to touch the Mushaf out of necessity.
