Is it permissible for a menstruating woman to review and memorize the Qur'an via a tape, and is it permissible for her to recite adhkar (supplications) that include Qur'anic verses? And how can the end of the menstruation period and the beginning of purity be determined when the color of the blood changes and the sign of the white discharge does not appear, especially since the duration and signs of menstruation vary from time to time?

It is permissible for a menstruating woman to listen to the Qur'an and recite it in her heart, to recite the morning and evening adhkar, and to recite the Qur'an from memory, according to the preponderant opinion, as long as the bleeding has not stopped. If the bleeding stops, she must refrain from recitation until she performs ghusl (definition). It is permissible for her to read prophetic hadith (definition), reported supplications, and books of knowledge. It is forbidden for her to pray, fast, perform tawaf (definition), touch the Mushaf (definition), recite the Qur'an after the bleeding has stopped (and before ghusl), and engage in intercourse.
