Are the fasting and prayer of a woman in nifas valid with the continued discharge of a brownish liquid after seeing the sign of purity on the 29th day of nifas?

The brownish discharge after seeing the white discharge is al-kudrah (a turbid or yellowish discharge). If it is continuous with the postpartum bleeding (nifas), it takes the ruling of nifas as long as it is within the forty-day period. This is a view mentioned in Hashiyat al-Rawd. If it appears after the bleeding has stopped within the forty-day period, scholars have differed regarding its ruling: The apparent meaning of Ibn Baz's words is that its ruling is that of nifas, so prayer and fasting are not valid during it, and fasting must be made up. Whereas Ibn Uthaymeen holds that the appearance of al-kudrah after purification from nifas within the forty-day period is not considered nifas, so prayer becomes obligatory and fasting is valid.
