Is it permissible to speed up the recitation of the Qur’an to burn off obstacles from devils, with evidence from the Qur’an and Sunnah?

It is not permissible to rush the recitation of the Qur'an if the listener cannot distinguish the words. Rather, what is permissible is the extent that does not compromise the rules of Tajweed, such as reciting with hadr (rapid recitation), which is speeding up the recitation while not neglecting the mudood (prolongations), ghunnat (nasal sounds), and vowel markings. One must be careful in this not to cut off the letters of prolongation, lose the sound of the ghunnah, or omit most of the vowel markings. And the tartil (measured recitation) must be without a speed that corrupts the pronunciation.
