Is it permissible to rush when reciting Al-Fatihah and the short surahs, and in the movements of the prayer?

The Sunnah for the reciter is to recite the Qur'an slowly and contemplatively (tartil), and not to rush, based on Allah's saying: (And recite the Qur'an with [proper] recitation) [Al-Muzzammil: 4], and His saying: (A Book which We have sent down to you, full of blessings, that they may ponder over its Verses) [Sad: 29]. Haste that distorts or omits letters is not permissible. Tranquility (طمأنينة) in prayer is an obligation, and pecking (نقر) in it invalidates it. One should be tranquil in bowing (rukūʿ), prostrating (sujūd), and sitting between the two prostrations, and supplicate in prostration as reported from the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, for he said: (The closest a servant is to his Lord is while he is prostrating, so increase in supplication). A Muslim must be deliberate in his prayer, emulating the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him.
