Is it permissible to perform Ruqyah by playing a recorded Quranic tape and placing water next to it?

Listening to the Qur'an and ruqyah شرعية (Islamic exorcism) from recorded tapes is good, but ruqyah شرعية cannot be achieved thereby. This is because the fundamental principle is that a person should recite it himself. Ruqyah has three pillars: the reciter (rāqi), that with which he recites (what is recited), and the one upon whom it is recited (marqī). The more righteous and pious the reciter, the more effective his ruqyah will be. This cannot be attained through recorded tapes, whether the ruqyah is for a person, water, or oil.
