What is the ruling on a woman fasting and praying if her menstrual bleeding stopped and then returned during Ramadan?

1 min readAlso available in العربية

If blood continues to flow and then stops for a full month, the woman becomes a mustahadah (experiencing prolonged vaginal bleeding outside of menstruation). A mustahadah refers to her regular habit. If her habit was six or seven days, she should wait for that period, then perform ghusl (ritual purification bath), pray, and fast. The continued discharge of blood does not harm her (i.e., does not invalidate her acts of worship).
