What is the jurisprudential ruling concerning the condition of frequent and involuntary emission of wind, and what is the criterion for certainty of its emission?

There are two matters concerning the emission of gas and doubt about it:

First: If the emission of gas is merely a doubt, the basic principle is that it has not occurred, and its occurrence is not ruled except with certain conviction. Do not pay attention to doubts, especially if you are afflicted with obsessive whispers (waswasa).

Second: If gas is emitted erratically and irregularly, then your ruling in this case is that of a person with incontinence (sahib al-salas); you perform ablution for each prayer after its time has begun, and you pray with this ablution as much as you wish until the time for the prayer expires. This resolves the issue and removes hardship.
