1. What is the ruling on the Farewell Tawaf for a man who performed the minor desecration, then perfumed himself and put on his regular clothes, and circumambulated in this state? 2. What is the ruling on someone who delayed the Farewell Tawaf until the day of departure, and performed both the Farewell Tawaf and the Farewell circumambulation together, only seven rounds, due to the crowd in the Haram on the day of Eid? 3. What is the ruling on someone who set out for Hajj on his own behalf, and upon reaching the Miqat, decided to enter into ihram for a Hajj on behalf of his deceased father?

First question: The circumambulation (tawaf) of someone who has performed the first stage of disengagement (al-tahallul al-awwal) is valid. The first stage of disengagement is achieved by performing two out of three actions: stoning Jamrat al-Aqaba, shaving or shortening the hair, and performing the tawaf al-ifadah along with the sa'i if it hasn't been performed earlier. So, whoever performs two of these three actions is permitted everything except relations with women.

Second question: Delaying the tawaf al-ifadah until the time of departure from Makkah is permissible. It suffices for the farewell tawaf (tawaf al-wada'), even if one did not intend it as such. However, if one only intended it as a farewell tawaf, it does not suffice for the tawaf al-ifadah because the latter is a pillar (rukn). In that case, one must return and perform the tawaf al-ifadah, and there is no expiatory sacrifice (dam) for delaying it.

Third question: Performing Hajj on behalf of one's father before performing Hajj for oneself is not valid for the father. Rather, it counts for the person performing Hajj himself, even if he intended it for his father.
