For whoever seeks out the fault of his Muslim brother, Allah will seek out his fault, and whoever Allah seeks out his fault, He will expose him even if he is in the privacy of his home." If what you say is true about him, then you have backbitten him, and if what you say is not true about him, then you have slandered him.
