The answer

What happened to you with your husband's family is a trial, and its remedy is patience, for the expiation of sins and the elevation of ranks. Your forgiveness of their injustice and shortcomings towards you will increase your exaltation in this world and the hereafter.

You must obey your husband in visiting his family, out of dutifulness and kindness to him, unless you fear harm from them. In that case, do not obey him, and it is better to be frank with him about it.

You are required to wear the in front of non- men, even if they are relatives of your husband, such as his brothers. Kinship is not established between you and your husband's family merely by marriage.
