Is it better for a 21-year-old Muslim woman to marry, or to dedicate herself to caring for her elderly parents and financially supporting her younger siblings in their education?

Filial piety is one of the greatest doors to goodness, and safeguarding one's chastity is an important matter, especially in youth. There is no contradiction between these two matters; they can be combined. Caring for and honoring one's parents does not necessitate sacrificing marriage. Rather, one can choose a spouse who allows for combining both, such as choosing a spouse who lives in the same town and close to the parents' home, and who is generous and will help in this regard. If the parents need financial assistance, it should be provided within one's means. A working wife can help her family, or stipulate this to her husband. If the assistance to parents after marriage is less, Allah may compensate them with something better. The interest of marriage and safeguarding one's chastity takes precedence over helping younger siblings with their education if they are unable to afford it themselves. Whoever fears Allah, He will make for him a way out and provide for him from whence he never expected.
