The hadith is very weak, it contains weakness, and it is fabricated. Eating twice a day is permissible and lawful. The Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, did not disparage it; rather, it was due to poverty. The proof for this is that the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, and his family never ate two meals in a day without one of them being dates. This indicates that they sometimes only found one meal, and if they found two meals, one of them would be dates.
