What actions must a woman performing Hajj Tamattu‘ undertake for her Hajj to be accepted if her menstrual period begins on the fifth day of Dhul-Hijjah while she is traveling from Madinah to Makkah?

Menstruation does not prevent ihram; rather, it prevents entry into the mosque and circumambulation (tawaf) of the Kaaba. So, when you reach the miqat, assume ihram for whatever you wish, and perform what pilgrims (mutamirun and hujjaj) do, and abstain from what they abstain from. Do not circumambulate the Kaaba until you become pure. If menstruation continues after assuming ihram for Umrah until the time people depart for Hajj, then add the intention for Hajj to your Umrah, and you will become a qarinah (performing qiran). This will necessitate an expiatory sacrifice (hadi al-qiran), and the acts of a qarin in Hajj are like the acts of one performing ifrad.
