What is the ruling on a man touching his wife's hand with desire on the way back from Makkah to Ta'if and before performing the second stage of exiting the state of ihram (al-tahallul al-thani) from 'Umrah?

One exits the state of ihram after umrah by shaving or shortening the hair. It is not permissible for someone in ihram to engage in sexual intimacy out of desire before exiting ihram. If one does so, they are obligated to offer a fidyah, which is: sacrificing a sheep to be distributed among the poor of the Haram, or feeding six needy people, or fasting for three days. Some scholars are of the opinion that if one was ignorant of the ruling, then nothing is obligatory upon them. However, offering the fidyah is more cautious to avoid differing opinions.
