What is the ruling on money earned from working in shops that sell alcohol and pork, and is it permissible to give it as charity?

A Muslim must seek lawful earnings, for he will be held accountable for them on the Day of Judgment. Working in the sale of alcohol and pork is among the gravest prohibitions. Alcohol has been cursed in ten ways. If the worker does not sell these prohibited items, it is safer for him to leave the job and seek work that is free from any doubt, in order to avoid unlawful money. However, if he directly sells them or assists in their sale, then the work is undoubtedly forbidden.
