What is the ruling on working in restaurants and shops that sell alcohol and pork, and is it permissible for a Muslim to work there in cleaning?

Alcohol and pork are forbidden in Islamic law. A Muslim must distance themselves from both, and from anything that assists in their consumption, even if it is washing dishes. This is based on the Almighty's saying: "And cooperate in righteousness and piety, but do not cooperate in sin and aggression." And whoever gives up something for the sake of Allah, Allah will make abundant provision easy for them, for the Almighty says: "And whoever fears Allah - He will make for him a way out And will provide for him from where he does not expect."
