Is sending my picture, dressed in Islamic attire and not immodestly adorned, to acquaintances via the Internet, whether they are young men or young women, forbidden or permissible?

It is not permissible to send a woman's picture online to men, because it leads to men looking at women, which is forbidden by the Almighty's saying: "Tell the believing men to reduce [some] of their vision and guard their private parts. That is purer for them. Indeed, Allah is Acquainted with what they do." Moreover, scholars like Ibn Taymiyyah have determined that it is not permissible for a woman to uncover her face if she knows that non-mahram (definition) men will look at her, and this matter often leads to many evils.
