Will my deeds not ascend until I reconcile with the one who falsely accused me of theft and fraud, after he betrayed the trust in a work I entrusted to him?

It is better to reconcile and forgive those who have wronged you, for Allah Almighty says: "And whoever is patient and forgives, indeed that is of the matters [requiring] determination" (Quran 42:43), and "So whoever pardons and makes reconciliation - his reward is due from Allah" (Quran 42:40).

However, if communication with that person leads to harm or injury, then it is permissible to shun them, based on the hadith: "There should be no harm nor reciprocating harm." And Hafiz Ibn Abd al-Barr said: "They (scholars) unanimously agreed that it is permissible to shun for more than three days, for anyone whose communication would bring deficiency to the addressed person in their religion, or cause harm to them in their self or their worldly affairs."

Nevertheless, animosity between Muslims is not good, and the deeds of those who dispute are withheld from being presented to Allah and receiving His forgiveness on Mondays and Thursdays. Abu Hurayrah (may Allah be pleased with him) reported that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Deeds are presented every Thursday and Monday. Allah, the Mighty and Sublime, forgives on that day every person who does not associate anything with Allah, except for a person between whom and his brother there is animosity. It is said: Leave these two until they reconcile."

Therefore, it is recommended to initiate reconciliation if it does not result in harm, and the best among those who dispute is the one who begins with greetings of peace.
