Should you expose someone who has wronged you and caused you harm, knowing what they did and continuing their transgression, which might lead to their dismissal from their job, or should you be patient and pray to God to reveal their matter, fearing the severance of livelihoods?

The wronged person may do what he deems appropriate in proportion to the injustice inflicted upon him, his situation, and his patience. He may forgive and pardon, which is a high station for the righteous, and Allah has affirmed His love for those who pardon. It is also permissible for him to complain to whoever can help him take his right from the one who wronged him, and to expose his wrongdoing, provided that he does not exceed the bounds in his response nor transgress. Not forgiving may sometimes be better if forgiveness would increase the oppressor's tyranny, as Al-Qurtubi said, and as indicated by the hadith (definition) when the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, permitted Aisha to defend herself.
