What is the ruling of Islamic law regarding a dispute that has exceeded three days, with repeated attempts at reconciliation from one party and rejection from the part of the other, and does sin fall upon the party that seeks reconciliation and accepts the decree of Allah?

Peace be upon you regarding the relatives who show enmity towards you. Visiting them and attempting reconciliation with them carries a great reward. The Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, clarified that whoever maintains ties with his relatives while they cut him off is as if he is feeding them hot ashes, emphasizing that the one who maintains ties is not the one who reciprocates, but rather the one who connects with his kin when they sever ties.

Allah Almighty says: {Repel [evil] with that which is better, and thereupon the one whom between you and him is enmity [will become] as though he was a devoted friend. But none is granted it except those who are patient, and none is granted it except one having a great portion [of good]} [Fussilat: 34-35].

If you fear Allah in your dealings with them and endure their harm with patience, their plotting will not harm you, in fulfillment of Allah Almighty's saying: {But if you are patient and fear Allah, their plot will not harm you at all} [Al 'Imran: 120]. If they refuse your greeting or your visit, the sin is upon them, not upon you, for the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, said: "It is not lawful for a Muslim to abandon his brother for more than three nights, where they meet and one turns away and the other turns away. The better of them is the one who initiates the greeting."
