Following the Sunnah

• Is the correct affiliation with the Ahl as-Sunnah wal-Jama'ah, or with the Pious Predecessors (Salaf as-Salih)?
• How can I transition from the Ibadi school of thought to the Sunni school of thought, and what should I do regarding my prayers and my family? What are the differences between the four schools of thought, and which one do you advise me to follow?
• What is the correct number of presentations on the Day of Resurrection, and are the hadiths reported in this regard that mention three presentations authentically narrated?
• Does the hadith "Many men have reached perfection, but no women have reached perfection except Mary, daughter of 'Imran, and Asiya, wife of Pharaoh" mean that women cannot achieve perfection in faith, and that a woman will not be able to reach the status of Asiya, Mary, Khadijah, and Fatimah? And does the Quranic preference for Mary, "And has chosen you above the women of the worlds," make her superior to the other women mentioned in the hadith? And how can a Muslim woman practice what Mary was praised for—virginity and seclusion from men—if marriage is desirable and monasticism is forbidden in Islam?
• What is the ruling on supplicating with and disseminating the following supplication: "O Allah, You are the Hope and from You is the giving and to You is the supplication. I ask You, O Most Generous, O Self-Sufficient, O Most Bountiful, to protect me along with people I love for Your sake. O Allah, in Paradise, grant me and them residence, and from the Fire, distance me and them, and from Your lawful provision, grant me and them sustenance, and from illness, heal me and them, and in well-being, increase me and them, and that You encompass me and them with Your forgiveness and mercy, O Hearer of supplication, O Vast Giver"? And what is the ruling on saying: "and from Your lawful provision, grant me sustenance"?
• Did the Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, supplicate against Mu'awiyah, saying, "There will appear to you from this pass a man who will die not upon my religion"?
• How sound is the narration of Ibn Mas'ud regarding his prohibition of remembrance (dhikr) with pebbles, and is there anything that supports it?

And remember your Lord when you forget, and say, 'Perhaps my Lord will guide me to what is nearer than this to right conduct'"?
