What is the ruling on placing the Mushaf (Qur'an) on a desk whose surface is pure, but impurity has afflicted the legs of the desk or the ground on which it is placed?

There is no harm in placing the Mushaf (definition) (copy of the Quran) on a pure desk, even if the floor beneath it or the legs of the desk are impure. The important thing is that the Mushaf itself is placed on a pure surface. The questioner is advised not to succumb to the obsessive whispers (waswas) concerning purity and impurity, as this can lead to chest constriction (anxiety) and difficulty in performing acts of worship. It may even drive the waswas-afflicted person to the brink of madness.
