The answer

"Tabarruj" (ostentatious display) is a woman's showcasing of her adornments and beauty to non- men. It is an act of disobedience to Allah and His Messenger, and it may be a cause for a woman to be deprived of Paradise, as stated in the : "They will not enter Paradise, nor will they perceive its fragrance." It is one of the major sins. The Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, associated the "tabarruj" of the جاهلية (pre-Islamic era of ignorance) with the gravest of major sins, and it brings forth curses and expulsion from Allah's mercy. A woman who wears tight clothes, applies makeup, and exposes her feet falls under the category of the "clothed yet naked" women who are condemned by Islamic law.
