The answer

There is no specific time when marriage contracts are forbidden or disliked, whether by night or day, except in the case where both spouses or one of them is in a state of ihram for Hajj or Umrah; in this situation, the contract is not permissible according to the majority of scholars. Similarly, the contract is forbidden at the time of the last call to prayer on Friday when the Khatib ascends the minbar for those who are obligated to attend the Friday prayer; if it occurs then, it must be annulled. It is, however, recommended to conduct the marriage contract after Asr on Friday, due to the approaching night and the tranquility of people, and because it is a blessed day.
