Are there any days or months that are disliked for a wedding night (or consummation of marriage)?

Expediting marriage for one who yearns for it is commendable in Islamic law due to its immense benefits, such as lowering the gaze and protecting one's chastity. Scholars have not deemed it reprehensible except if it occurs during the time of Hajj or Umrah (definition) when one is in a state of ihram (definition). Marriage and consummation in Shawwal are considered desirable, following the example of the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, and his marriage to Aisha in that month.
