What is the Gospel that Allah sent down to Jesus (peace be upon him) which corresponds to the Quran, and is it currently in existence? If not, what happened to it? And does this apply to the current Torah?

The Bible, as known by Christians, is not the Gospel that was revealed to Jesus, peace be upon him. Nor can it be compared to the Quran or to books of biography and Sunnah. Rather, it is a mixture of words attributed to God, Christ, and his followers. It is divided into three types: the word of the Lord, the word of the Lord's prophet, and the word of historians (eyewitnesses). It is easy for a Muslim to distinguish between these types: the Quran is the word of God, the books of Hadith are the words of the Prophet, peace be upon him, and the Islamic heritage contains the words of scholars and imams. As for the true Gospel that was revealed to Jesus, it has disappeared, as Christians executed and burned the Gospels not recognized by the Church. The Torah, however, differs from the Gospel in the manner of its distortion, due to the belief of Jews and Christians in the prophethood of Moses, peace be upon him, and not in his divinity.
