Who are the members of the Fatwa Center who answer questions on the website? And why do their fatwas not rely heavily on the sayings of the great scholar and Hadith master Muhammad Nasir al-Din al-Albani, may Allah have mercy on him?

A fatwa (religious edict) is based on the Qur’an, Sunnah, ijma’ (scholarly consensus), and sound qiyas (analogy), not on the statement of a particular scholar, even though the sayings of scholars are used for guidance and enlightenment. Sheikh Al-Albani is a prominent scholar, but like other scholars, he may be right or wrong, and "everyone's words can be taken or left, except the occupant of this grave" [referring to the Prophet Muhammad].
