Does a father's displeasure with his son, even though the son has not wronged his father, prevent him from entering Paradise?

The general principle is that a father has compassion for his child and desires what is good for him. If he mentioned that he will not forgive you, it is likely due to something that necessitates such a statement. Therefore, you should search for what angered him, for in the father's displeasure lies the Lord's displeasure. Perhaps something you did hurt him, and filial disobedience can occur with even a small amount of harm. We advise you to seek the reason for your father's anger and reconcile with him. If it becomes clear that you were at fault, ask for his forgiveness. If you were not at fault, seek his رضا (satisfaction/contentment) and seek help from Allah and from those who have influence with him. If there was no wrongdoing from your part towards him, we hope that his displeasure will not harm you, and you should strive diligently to earn his رضا.
