How sound is the story narrated about the mountain weeping out of fear of being fuel for the Fire on the Day of Resurrection, and that Allah revealed to Jesus (peace be upon him) to reassure the mountain that He had granted it refuge from Hell?

The story mentioned has not been found in the books of the scholars, and it is possibly from the Israʼiliyyat (tales from Jewish and Christian traditions). The Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, clarified the Muslim's stance on the Israʼiliyyat that have not been confirmed or denied by the Shari'a, saying: "When the People of the Book tell you something, do not believe them and do not disbelieve them. Say: 'We believe in Allah and His Messengers,' for if it is falsehood, you would not believe it, and if it is truth, you would not disbelieve it."
