What is the ruling on a handsome, beardless young man publishing his pictures on social media?

A young man should not publish his pictures; firstly, because Islamic law has prohibited pictures of living beings, and many scholars consider photographic images to fall under this prohibition. Secondly, publishing pictures of a beardless, handsome young man might lead some to look at him with lust, especially in these times when religious adherence has diminished.
