What is the ruling on electronic messages that include hadiths attributed to the Prophet (peace be upon him) claiming the building of palaces in Paradise for those who repeat certain supplications, and which are circulated without verifying their authenticity?

The ruling on distributing hadiths and repeating supplications depends on their authenticity from the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him. If their attribution to him is confirmed, then spreading them and repeating them are acts of goodness and guidance towards righteousness, because the function of the tongue is remembrance, recitation, and supplication. However, if their attribution to him is not confirmed, then it is not permissible to spread them, due to the Prophet's saying, peace and blessings be upon him: "Whoever narrates a hadith from me, believing it to be false, is one of the two liars."
