Conversation between a young man and a foreign woman, whether online or otherwise, is impermissible except out of necessity, because it is a gateway to temptation. The continuation of such conversation is not justified by the family's knowledge or by the conversation being polite and general, as all of that is a gradual enticement from Satan.
